While others are spending their year-end holidays in holiday resorts, doing Christmas shopping, or sitting in front of their computers playing games; a group of 18 young people would be spending their holidays with the homeless street children in Mongolia.
Their mission includes conducting a 5-day Self-Development Camp at a mountain hideout in Mongolia for 160 youths between 14 to 17 years old. This will be followed by 4 days with the street children. The bolder ones plan to go into the manholes to experience first hand the living conditions of these homeless children.
Activities planned for the street kids include outdoor games, horse riding, archery and other enrichment program. It is not all work for our Singapore young people; they will have 2-day of recreation learning horse riding and archery in Mongolia.
The team will also be showing their culinary skills cooking for the street children in 3 consecutive days. The highlight of this humanitarian relief work will be a Christmas Feast with the team cooking an Asian Delight for 500 street kids and giving to 1,000 homeless kids a most needed gift, 1,000 blankets to keep them warm during the harsh winter.
The aim of this mission – To let the homeless children in Mongolia knows that someone cares !
