MY STORY

Lillan Lu
Canada Intern 2017
I went into HA wanting to make a difference. The experience taught me a lot about strength, resilience and independence.

After working in 7th USLS, I wanted to contribute more and the next year I turned back for 8th USLS with more delegates from Turkey. It was the first time USLS was hosting Turkish delegates and all of the effort I have spent was worth it after I heard about their experiences during the symposium. I would love to share many more experiences but let me finish it with this; It is not about our age, race or religion.
There is always something that we can do for the world. Big touch or a small touch doesn’t matter. We all have power to change someone’s life and make this world a better place. Believe in yourself, have courage to leave your comfort zone and watch how your life is changing. As I said from the beginning, joining to Humanitarian Affairs changed so many things in my life and It can be your time now!
