Talea
Grootenhuis

When she is not writing poetry, practicing Pilates, or playing video games, Talea can be found studying for her degree in European Studies at Maastricht University. Motivated by her interest in international politics and the work of the UN, Talea participated in the Harvard National Model United Nations where she joined the Futuristic General Assembly on Climate Change. By simulating a realistic (and rather dooming) scenario of climate change in the year 2055, Talea learnt about the fundamental importance of sustainability and climate action and remains committed to raising awareness amongst other young people. In addition to environmental causes, Talea is passionate about sustainable development, feminism, and LGBTQ+ rights.
